There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:
- Last week, Three Bites Bakery announced that it will be moving to 12 E. Broad St. downtown (the former site of Jack & Benny’s) later this year as part of the Ground Floor Growth Program, which encourages women- and minority-owned businesses. This includes Three Bites, which is joining forces with Little Cat Boba, as well as Black Kahawa Coffee, which is opening a coffee patio nearby.
- Today Mecha Noodle Bar debuts at 965 N. High St. in the Short North (previously home to White Castle). The small Connecticut-based chain serves pho, ramen, and other Asian snacks. The first 100 guests in the door today get a free bowl of ramen. Check out the new Mecha Noodle Bar here.
- After a long hiatus, Hoster Brewing makes its return to the Columbus brewing scene with the soft open of its new taproom at 653 N. James Rd. (where Actual Brewing once sat). Hoster originally started in the 1830s in the Brewery District, as one of the city’s first big breweries. Get a look at Hoster’s new taproom here.
- Kokomo Juice & Coffee Paradise soft opened this week at 694 Parsons Ave. in a new build.
- Following shortly on the heels of their new Grandview store, Johnson’s Real Ice Cream opened a store in Italian Village at 869 N. Fourth St., former home to S’wich Social.
- A new dessert bar called Sweetful is headed to 453 W. Broad St. in the Gravity 2 development this summer. They’ll be serving everything from ice cream and pie to cake and donuts.
- In case you missed the news this week, Fox in the Snow’s Italian Village location was temporarily closed after a car crashed into it on Monday. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the shop reopened yesterday (Thursday).
- Bibibop Asian Grill opened its latest central Ohio store at 7397 State Route 3 in Westerville yesterday.
- The Columbus Independents restaurant organization launched its latest giftcard sale this week.
