There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:
- Nocterra Brewing in Powell debuts a new food truck this weekend called Trail Magic Kitchen. The truck features smashburgers, Bavarian pretzels, and other goodies. It will be open complementary hours to the Ray Ray’s Hog Pit Truck that’s already on site. Trail Magic Kitchen is also being used to test and develop menu items for Nocterra’s forthcoming location near the Scioto Audubon Center.
- Si Senor, known for its Peruvian sandwiches, will be a return to downtown by taking the former Zoup! space on 155 W. Nationwide Blvd. in the Arena District. Si Senor first started with a shop down Lynn Alley downtown before opening one on Fifth Avenue in Grandview.
- Honey Cup Coffee Co.‘s new matcha bar, called Dada Match Bar, officially opens tomorrow, Sept. 16, at 700 Bryden Rd.
- Fans of Fox in the Snow, rejoice! The beloved cafe announced that its fourth location will open next week Saturday, Sept. 23. The new shop makes its home in the former post office at 38 W. Bridge St. in Dublin.
- Multiple sources have reported that Star Kitchen Cafe, a new fast casual concept from the Gahanna Grill owners, is coming to 1471 S. High St. in Merion Village. Its menu will feature sandwiches, fried chicken, salads, sides, and coffee.
- John Blakely, owner of The Daily Growler, confirmed in a press release this week that the recently closed Colin’s Coffee will reopen for morning hours inside the beer bar’s location at 2812 Fishinger Rd. Blakely said the shop is aiming for an early October opening.
- After some delays, the first Columbus-area location of Bojangles finally opened earlier this week at 891 Hilliard Rome Rd.
- The international boba and milk tea chain Tiger Sugar opens its first Columbus location at 876 Bethel Rd. on Saturday, Sept. 16.
- 614 Now reported that Suisse Shop Bakery closed after 40 years in business, citing staffing issues. The bakery is located at 2119 Polaris Pwky.
