Want to support local restaurants? Curious about new openings or under-the-radar finds? Here are five restaurants I’m suggesting you try this month!
1. Habibi Grill
Habibi Grill comes to us from the restaurateur behind Mr. Hummus Grill, which has a stall in Bubbly Hall. This beautiful new outpost in Italian Village fits nicely into the neighborhood, bringing an expansive menu of modern and traditional Lebanese favorites like kebabs, gyros, wraps, and dips, but in pizza or taco form, too!
Habibi Grill
1131 N. Fourth St.
Columbus, OH 43201

2. Masa Mexican Grill
Masa Mexican Grill opened in recent months at the East Market. They make everything from scratch, including their signature corn tortillas. They’re put to use in tasty dishes like tacos, quesadillas, quesabirria, and other delights. Don’t miss their homemade salsas, too!

212 Kelton Ave. (inside East Market)
Columbus, OH 43205

3. Trail Magic Kitchen
Trail Magic Kitchen is the new in-house food truck at Nocterra Brewing in Powell. They launched the brightly branded truck as a companion to the existing Ray Ray’s outpost next to their beer garden. Trail Magic features smashburgers, sandwiches, and other goodies that pair perfectly with a Nocterra beer while sitting around the firepit. (The truck is also being used as a testing ground for Nocterra’s forthcoming Audubon location.)
Trail Magic Kitchen
41 Depot St. (at Nocterra Brewing)
Powell, OH 43065

4. Law Bird
Law Bird ranks among the city’s best cocktail bars, but their food menu shouldn’t be ignored either. While you taste seasonal cocktails, mini martinis, local beers, natural wines, and non-alcoholic libations, you can snack on chips and dip, flaming hot pimento cheese, tinned fish, Dole whip. And every Wednesday is hot dog night! (Bonus: we recently attended their monthly Stand Up From The Waist Up comedy nights, hosted by Travis Hoewischer and featuring local comedians – we highly recommend it!)
Law Bird
740 S. High St.
Columbus, OH 43206

5. Tous Les Jours
We’ve made multiple visits to Tous Les Jours and have always had a blast. The South Korean-based bakery and cafe features French-inspired pastries. You simply grab tongs and a tray, then load up to your heart’s content. There’s always something new to discover in their beautiful selection of croissants, donuts, sandwiches, and everything in-between.
Tous Les Jours
2851 Olentangy River Rd.
Columbus, OH 43202
