5 Restaurants to Try This Month: February 2024

January 31, 2024

Want to support local restaurants? Curious about new openings or under-the-radar finds? Here are five restaurants I’m suggesting you try this month!

1. Natalie’s Music Hall & Kitchen

A couple weeks back we caught a stand-up comedian at Natalie’s in Grandview, and were reminded what a gem it is. The music hall features two stages packed with live music and comedy, their bar program is superb, and the food is top-notch, especially those pizzas crisped-up in the coal-fired ovens.

2. Big Apple Breakfast Co.

Big Apple Breakfast Co. pops up inside Worthington Pizza Primo Monday-Saturday mornings. Owner Brian Iarocci brings a taste of New York City to the north end, with bodega breakfast sandwiches, coffee, French toast sticks, and more. They’re a worthy stop for anyone who loves excellent breakfast sandwiches, and handy for a quick breakfast on-the-go in the mornings.

3. Asterisk Supper Club

Asterisk Supper Club in Uptown Westerville is about as cozy and comforting you as you can get. It feels like a bookstore or a book-lined den, and the food and cocktails match the vibe. You’ll find beautifully plated comfort foods like chicken pot pie, meatloaf, mac and cheese, burgers. And it’s one of the few places in town to get afternoon tea!

4. Aladdin’s Eatery

Aladdin’s is one of our go-tos for casual lunches and dinners. Everyone can find something to love on their Lebanese menu, from hummus and falafel, to rolled pitas and specialty plates (like the Genie’s Combo!), to salads and kebabs. My favorite are their pitzas, especially the honey mustard-drizzled Aladdin’s Chicken. You can find Aladdin’s at five locations around central Ohio!

Worthington, Grandview, Powell, New Albany, and Clintonville

5. Ash & Em Eatery

I’ll never say no to a good smashburger, and Ash & Em Eatery, tucked into the second floor of Columbus Axe Throwing, dishes up a superb version. The burger-slinging pop-up just moved into the upstairs of the axe throwing place, so now you can toss sharp objects, drink at the bar, play arcade games, and feast on burgers, fries, wings, and hot dogs – all under one roof!

560 S. High St.
Columbus, OH 43215
