Main Moon Chinese Restaurant in Linworth is a Family Favorite

February 20, 2024

We have many favorite Chinese spots in Columbus, like ChiliSpot or N.E. Chinese, but lately one of our go-tos has been Main Moon Chinese Restaurant, a small family-run storefront in Linworth. You’ll find it next door to The Hungarian Butcher and down from Rodos Greek Taverna and Cameron’s American Bistro.

Their menu covers a lot of Americanized favorites as well as a lot of bona fide Chinese dishes. Here are a few of our favorites!

We pretty much always order the Chengdu cold noodles. They are indeed served cold, with green onion and sesame seeds in a zingy sauce.

Same with the dan dan noodles, which are served hot.

They’re served with minced pork, crushed peanuts, and other seasonings, and you get to mix them together.

Another favorite is the dumpling with hot chili oil.

The flavor profiles of the two noodles dishes and the dumplings are similar. These filled dumplings are served in a sauce with that signature spicy and numbing mala seasoning, with Szechuan peppercorns and chilis.

We usually don’t skip out on the Szechuan diced chicken.

They’re diced, fried, and served with hot peppers and sesame seeds.

And we haven’t turned away a simple order of General Tso’s chicken as well.

Main Moon is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
