Bada Bean Bada Booze! Just like that, a new coffee shop and cocktail bar has come into being. Thrive Companies opened the duel-purposed hangout in its Italian Village development last week, next door to Hoof Hearted Brewpub on First Avenue.
The space offers a collection of high- and low-top tables, plus couches and chairs. Some of the seating features built-in plugs and USB ports, conducive to the remote work crowd.
A colorful menu spells out the food and beverage offerings.
Bada Bean opens at 7 a.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. on weekends. The changeover to cocktail bar happens at 3 p.m. daily.
We’ve just checked out the morning portion – aka Bada Bean – so far. The coffee and brunch cocktails are supplemented by biscuit sandwiches, scones, cinnamon rolls, and galettes from Kittie’s Cakes, while Happy Little Treats provides vegan goodies as well.
We sampled a couple breakfast sandwiches and coffees.
The Holy Molé features cold brew, vanilla, cinnamon, cacao, and oat milk.
While the Spiced Maple Latte is flavored with a zesty maple syrup.
Kittie’s everything biscuit with egg and cheddar.
And the maple biscuit sandwich with egg, cheddar, and sausage.
As part of Thrive Companies’ Jeffrey Park development, the space nods to the history of Jeffrey Manufacturing.
The Bada Bean portion is open Mon-Fri, 7a-3p and Sat-Sun, 8am-3p. While the Bada Booze portion opens at 3 p.m. and closes at 10 p.m. Sun-Thurs and midnight Fri-Sat.
And judging from the list of locations on their site, Bada Bean Bada Booze may soon be popping up in Harrison West, Grandview, and Marble Cliff.
