Now Open: Parable Coffee’s new downtown space

July 6, 2022

Over the past couple years, Parable Coffee has become a destination for thoughtful coffee and community, operating out of Comune restaurant on Parsons Avenue. But their eye has always been toward their own space, and just this week they soft opened at 149 S. High St. in the Lazarus building.

The space was most recently Nosh on High, and before that a Stauf’s location.

The menu spells out their mission of making coffee accessible to everyone. They offer a full espresso bar, pour overs and cold brew, hot and iced teas, and a seasonal specialty menu. I can vouch for the Flower Power late.

The space is big and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows, natural wood accents, and plenty of greenery.

There’s a mix of seating, from a small curving bar to tables to booths.

Parable Coffee plans a full grand opening on Friday, July 8! Current hours are set at 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
