Parable Coffee Launches Parable After Dark Cocktail Bar

August 2, 2023

We already know that Parable Coffee is one of the best coffee shops in downtown Columbus and that chef Aaron Clouse produces killer pastries there, but now they’ve added reasons to come back in the evening: the Parable After Dark cocktail and wine bar!

Hosted Fridays-Sundays from 5-11 p.m., Parable After Dark features cocktails, natural wines, non-alcoholic libations, and beer.

Their cocktail menu features a variety of unique drinks, including easy-sipping long drinks and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

The wine list focuses on natural wines, available by the glass and bottle.

From our pair of visits, we tried the Stirred Caipirinha, a take on the classic Brazilian cocktail built around cachaca, a white rum.

The Name Goes Here is like a slightly fruity, summer Manhattan, built on rye, cardamom vermouth, mango, and lapsang.

My personal favorite is the Fucking Thing Sucks, which arrives dramatically at your table. It features cognac, sherry, lemon, and orgeat.

Parable After Dark also serves a collection of beer (including non-alcoholic ones), sparkling wines, tea.

And it’s hard to beat their setting, with loads of natural light, greenery, a mix of seating types, and a patio along South High Street.

Parable After Dark runs Friday-Sunday, 5-11 p.m.
