There’s a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world – here’s the latest!
- This week Dublin launched the Celtic Cocktail Trail. Guests can pick up a passport from the Dublin visitors center, then visit 11 different bars and restaurants in the area, sample Irish-themed cocktails, and collect stamps.
- Ambrose & Eve – the restaurant coming soon to the Brewery District (pssst… go to their burger shack pop-up, Preston’s) – hosts a brunch pop-up during the Winter Flea this Sunday, Feb. 4 at Strongwater.
- This Saturday, Feb. 3 is – wait for it – National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day! Jeni’s is celebrating by donating 50% of sales from 9 a.m. to noon to She Should Run. And if you stop by Kilwins in Dublin, you might find a flavor named after yours truly!
- Catch chef Laura Lee, owner of Ajumuma, and Gallerie Bar & Bistro pastry chef Aaron Clouse on Guy’s Grocery Games this coming Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 9 p.m.!
- The LC’s newest location of The Goat opened at 219 S. High St. downtown. It joins locations in Hilliard, Gahanna, Dublin, and New Albany.
- South of Lane in Upper Arlington is closed through Friday, Feb. 9 for their annual winter refresher, and will re-open at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.
- Barrel & Boar opened their newest location at 8 N. State St. in Uptown Westerville.
- Baba’s will be closed Feb. 6-13 for cleaning/break. They’ll re-open for regular hours on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
- After nearly 50 years in the business, Juergen’s Bakery closed in German Village. The owners of Wurst und Bier at Crosswoods announced they will open a German restaurant in the space.
- Sandwich spot The Carvery on E. Gay St. has officially closed.
- California-based slider chain Burgerim announced they’ll open a Columbus location at 121 S. High St.
- The Schokko Art Cafe in the Columbus Museum of Art has closed. The cafe was operated by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, but it will re-open soon under the Museums’ leadership.
